As part of my Arts Council England DYCP grant hit the road in October and headed to Exmoor, Dartmoor, Newquay and then onto Weston Super Mare.
I spent 4 days in Exmoor walking the moors and the coastal path with my camera, backpack and packed lunch.....it was incredible. When I got up on Thursday morning I could barely walk so headed to Newquay to stay with my family. On route I stopped off in Dartmoor - I found a carpark and shuffled up a hill and around the landscape.
18 films shot.....695 miles travelled.
I discovered the magic of walking......with my camera.....in my shorts....looking....seeing and just documenting. A real departure from the self staging/botanical studies I'd done up to this point.
The trip has been life changing, and given me a new perspective on the work.
