The following images comes from a new series I shot during twilight. As I walked outside on the Monday night it was pitch black but as I looked up I was staggered by just how many stars were visible.
Living in Manchester with the levels of light pollution, I’d never experienced anything quite like it. The darkness was so thick, the stars were so clear. It felt like someone had turned the lights off – and for the first time I could experience the night sky in a whole new way.
Not only are the moors significantly important of being a carbon lock – a number are also dark skies sites.
